What is SEO?  The acronym, SEO, means Search Engine Optimization, but what does that really mean?  As search engines evolve, the importance of building your website in a way that is useful becomes ever more paramount.

SEO practices used to involve plugging all of your keywords into the meta tags of your website pages.  Nowadays, that can actually harm your search engine rank depending on how relevant each page is to those particular keywords.  For instance, Google grades each page it catalogues against 200 different criteria to provide a score for a particular search phrase.  Simply plugging a long list of keywords into your meta tags can be viewed as spamming and can negatively impact your grade – making it much more difficult to be found in search results.
